Civil Engineer – Structural Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs for reinforced concrete and steel structures.

• Prepare structural calculations, analysis reports, and detailed design drawings.

• Create and update structural BIM models using Revit and drawings using AutoCAD.

• Coordinate structural designs with architectural and MEP teams.

• Review drawings to identify design conflicts and ensure accuracy and constructability.

• Prepare technical documents for approvals and respond to review comments.

• Provide technical support during construction and address structural queries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

• Proven experience in structural analysis and design of building projects.

• Strong practical knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, or equivalent.

• Sound understanding of structural design codes, engineering principles, and construction methods.

• Strong attention to detail, coordination, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with projects in Qatar and familiarity with local authority submission requirements.

• Experience designing villas and residential buildings.

• Relevant professional registration or engineering certification.
