Role Description

The Civil Fitout Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar. The individual in this role will oversee civil fit-out works, including planning, coordinating, and supervising interior and structural finishing activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and project schedules. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing drawings, conducting site inspections, monitoring contractors, and resolving technical issues that arise during execution. The role involves close coordination with project managers, MEP teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to align civil fit-out works with overall project milestones and safety standards. The Civil Fitout Engineer will also prepare progress reports, maintain quality records, support material approvals, and assist in cost and time optimization while adhering to local regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong civil engineering and fit-out expertise, including knowledge of interior works, finishes, and coordination with structural and MEP disciplines.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, with practical experience in site supervision and inspection.

• Experience with project coordination, scheduling, and progress tracking using standard project management tools and methods.

• Familiarity with Qatar construction standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures in civil and fit-out projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with prior experience in civil fit-out or interior construction, preferably in the GCC region.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients and subcontractors.

• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines on-site.

• Proficiency in relevant engineering and office software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office; project management software is an advantage).
