Client Facing Salesforce Developer - In Office NY
Dragin
Job description
Dragin
is looking for a
Client-Facing Salesforce Developer
to join our team in our New York office.
This is a Salesforce development role for someone who is strong technically, especially in
Salesforce, Apex, automation, and platform customization
, but who also enjoys working directly with clients. The right person will not only build and troubleshoot Salesforce functionality, but will also lead client calls, understand business needs, translate requests into clear technical tasks, and help make sure work is handled properly by the development team.
This is not a back-office-only developer role. You will be close to the clients, close to the product, and close to the execution.
About Dragin
Dragin builds software and Salesforce-based systems for companies in the financial services space. Our platform helps clients manage workflows, automate processes, organize data, and operate more efficiently.
We move quickly, work closely with our clients, and build practical software that solves real operational problems. We are looking for someone who can combine strong Salesforce development skills with clear communication and good judgment.
What You’ll Do
You will work across Salesforce development, client communication, and project execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Building and maintaining Salesforce functionality using Apex, Flows, validation rules, custom objects, triggers, and other Salesforce tools.
-
Creating, reviewing, and improving Salesforce automations and customizations.
-
Troubleshooting client issues and determining the right Salesforce-based solution.
-
Leading client calls after learning the client’s setup, workflows, and business needs.
-
Translating client requests into clear technical requirements and actionable tickets.
-
Creating and organizing tickets for the Salesforce development team.
-
Coordinating with developers on a project-by-project basis to make sure tasks are handled logically and efficiently.
-
Reviewing completed work to confirm that it matches the client request and the intended Salesforce design.
-
Helping prioritize tasks based on urgency, client impact, and technical dependencies.
-
Communicating clearly with clients, account managers, and internal team members.
-
Identifying better ways to structure Salesforce workflows, data, automation, and client processes.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with a few years of Salesforce development experience who is ready for a more client-facing and responsibility-heavy role.
You should have:
-
Strong Salesforce development experience.
-
Strong Apex skills.
-
Experience with Salesforce Flows, custom objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, permission sets, profiles, and automation.
-
Experience writing and debugging Apex classes, triggers, and test classes.
-
A solid understanding of Salesforce data models and best practices.
-
Ability to understand business requirements and turn them into practical Salesforce solutions.
-
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-
Comfort speaking directly with clients and leading calls.
-
Good judgment when deciding how a request should be handled from a Salesforce perspective.
-
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client requests at once.
-
Ability to create clear tickets and explain requirements to other developers.
-
A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of issues until they are resolved.
Nice to Have
These are helpful, but not required:
-
Experience with Lightning Web Components.
-
Experience with Salesforce integrations and APIs.
-
Experience with Salesforce reports and dashboards.
-
Experience working in a client-facing technical role.
-
Experience coordinating work across multiple developers.
-
Experience in financial services, lending, or other workflow-heavy industries.
Industry experience is not required. We care much more about strong Salesforce skills, communication, organization, and judgment.
What Success Looks Like
A successful person in this role will become a trusted Salesforce expert for both our internal team and our clients.
You will be able to join a client call, understand what the client is asking for, determine what actually needs to be done, create a clear plan, and make sure the right developers are working on the right items. You will know when a request is simple, when it needs more thought, and when the client is asking for something that should be handled differently.
Over time, you should become someone who can own Salesforce-related client issues from conversation through completion.
Location
This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York.
This is not a remote or hybrid position.
Who This Role Is Best For
This role is ideal for a Salesforce developer who likes being close to the business and close to the client.
You may be a strong fit if you enjoy solving problems, organizing messy requests, explaining technical concepts clearly, and making sure work actually gets completed correctly. You do not need to be a formal manager, but you should be comfortable coordinating developers and helping drive projects forward.
