As our Clinical Nurse Educator, you will lead, coordinate and deliver education programs that build capability, strengthen clinical practice and create positive learning experiences across the organisation. Work with the Clinical Support Nurse to guide our next generation of nursing undergraduates and clinical administration to maintain the learning management platform.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating clinical education across the organisation. The role provides leadership in workforce development, graduate nurse support, student placements and competency-based learning programs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and promoting staff education and professional development opportunities

• Leading and supporting the Graduate Nurse Program

• Supporting student placements and mentoring learners across the organisation

• Reviewing and implementing the annual education plan

• Working collaboratively with Nurse Unit Managers to identify and address education needs

• Supporting clinical competency development and evidence-based practice

• Managing education resources, including simulation and training equipment

• Participating in accreditation and quality improvement activities

• Providing leadership and support to the Clinical Support Nurse.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)

• Bachelor of Nursing qualification

• Minimum five years' clinical nursing experience

• Demonstrated high level of clinical expertise

• Experience developing and delivering clinical education programs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Commitment to person-centred care and organisational values.

Desirable

• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline

• Certificate IV or V in Training and Assessment (or working towards completion).

Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to provide:

• Current AHPRA Registration

• National Police Check (no older than three months)

• Working with Children Check

• Evidence of annual influenza vaccination status.
