Job Description:
Individuals in this role contribute to the protection of system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing sensitive data. The role partners closely with peer teams, identifies opportunities for collaboration, and operates within a structured environment while taking initiative to solve complex problems. This position may mentor junior team members and typically requires 5+ years of information security experience.
Responsibilities:

Identify, define, document, and implement security system requirements for AWS and Azure utilizing Wiz.

Develop and execute test plans and produce quantitative results.

Drive complex information security projects to ensure timely delivery.

Identify and raise risks or vulnerabilities throughout the security engineering process.

Work closely with stakeholders across multiple teams to develop and implement solutions.

Contribute to integration, regression, and performance testing efforts.

Document and communicate deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality requirements.

Identify gaps in security standards adherence and partner with stakeholders to remediate them.
Required Qualifications:
-
5 years of experience in Cloud Security Engineering

Broad knowledge of cloud security technologies, techniques, and processes.

Experience with Wiz is required.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and executive audiences.

Comfortable working with distributed teams using virtual collaboration tools.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
Desired Qualifications:
-
Experience with AWS OPA, SCP, SecurityHub, Config, EventBridge, and SSM.

Experience with Azure Policy and Microsoft Defender.
-
Experience with policy-as-code, CSPM, and cloud/SaaS security management.
-
Prior experience within a financial institution preferred.
