Compliance Analyst

Salary range: $55,000–$85,000 annually Work location: Union Gap Washington Overtime status: Non-exempt

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to support the Director of Integrity & Compliance and help ensure that organizational programs, policies, data, and reporting practices meet applicable federal, state, local, grant, and contract requirements. This position is well suited for a collaborative professional who can interpret complex requirements, evaluate records and operations objectively, and turn findings into clear guidance and practical improvements.

In this role, you will conduct compliance and monitoring reviews, validate and analyze data, prepare reports and dashboards, provide technical assistance, and track corrective actions through resolution. You will work with staff, service providers, contractors, subrecipients, government agencies, and community partners to support accurate reporting, effective operations, and responsible stewardship of public resources.

What You’ll Do

· Research and interpret laws, regulations, grant terms, contracts, and organizational policies.

· Review policies, procedures, forms, contracts, subawards, records, databases, and internal controls for compliance, consistency, and risk.

· Recommend and draft updates to policies, procedures, guidance, forms, and compliance tools.

· Conduct desk, file, data, onsite, and virtual monitoring reviews of programs, contractors, and subrecipients.

· Document review methods, evidence, findings, observations, recommendations, and corrective actions.

· Prepare monitoring reports and track corrective-action plans through completion.

· Collect, reconcile, validate, analyze, and summarize program, performance, and compliance data.

· Create recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, scorecards, charts, and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, and other approved tools.

· Provide technical assistance and training on policies, documentation, eligibility, data quality, reporting, monitoring, and corrective actions.

· Maintain organized, confidential records and support audits, program reviews, records requests, and other oversight activities.

· Identify recurring issues and emerging risks and recommend improvements to internal controls and program effectiveness.

· Collaborate across program, fiscal, administrative, and information-systems functions while maintaining strong relationships with external partners.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, finance, accounting, social sciences, data analytics, information systems, or a related field, plus two years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the position.

Related experience may include one or more of the following:

· Compliance, monitoring, audit, internal controls, or risk management.

· Program, contract, grant, or subrecipient oversight.

· Data validation, analysis, reporting, dashboards, or quality assurance.

· Policy review, procedure development, training, documentation, or technical assistance.

Equivalent education, training, and directly related experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to:

· Research, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, grant requirements, contracts, and organizational policies.

· Evaluate records, processes, program operations, and data for compliance, accuracy, risk, and improvement opportunities.

· Conduct objective monitoring reviews, document findings, and prepare clear policies, reports, correspondence, and recommendations.

· Collect, reconcile, validate, analyze, and summarize quantitative and qualitative information.

· Develop reports, dashboards, charts, and visualizations for technical and nontechnical audiences.

· Use Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level and use or learn Power BI and other Microsoft 365 applications.

· Maintain confidentiality, safeguard sensitive information, and exercise sound judgment, objectivity, attention to detail, and professional discretion.

· Manage multiple assignments and deadlines with limited supervision.

· Communicate effectively, provide constructive technical assistance, and build cooperative working relationships.

· Maintain a high level of integrity and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with federal or state grants, publicly funded programs, workforce development programs, or comparable regulatory frameworks such as WIOA or 2 CFR Part 200.

· Experience monitoring contractors, service providers, or subrecipients and preparing monitoring reports, corrective-action plans, audit documentation, or management reports.

· Experience drafting policies and procedures or developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, or related systems.

· Experience with grant-management, case-management, or state reporting systems.

· Bilingual English and Spanish skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000–$85,000 annually. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related qualifications, experience, internal equity, and available budget. Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, pension retirement plan, PTO, and 15 paid holidays.
