Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to lead all accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing leadership with actionable insights to drive business performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend improvements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax reporting
• Coordinate and lead external audits and work closely with auditors and tax advisors
• Provide financial insights and reporting to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making
• Manage cash flow, banking and vendor relationships, and financial risk
• Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred
• CPA or CMA strongly preferred
• 3–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience managing audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into business insights
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
