Uses the company designed Quality Assurance Assessment instruments to provide routine, scheduled audits of all service delivery settings at the service site, support of program development and delivery, support of the development and delivery of staff training curricula, and providing oversight to the medical aspects of each service sites’ Quality Assurance/Improvement Committee. These duties will be carried out primarily in a Nursing Home setting, with secondary duties in settings for people with developmental disabilities in the Eastern region of the State of Tennessee.

Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BS in nursings preferred.

Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:

Regularly required to lift 10 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 10 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.

RHA Health Services is looking for a driven, resourceful and passionate Corporate Quality Assurance Nurseto join our team focusing on monitoring service delivery systems and ensuring ongoing compliance with local, state and federal regulations and company policies, and providing oversight to the unit’s quality improvement systems.

The Quality Assurance Nurse uses the company designed Quality Assurance Assessment instruments to provide routine, scheduled audits of all service delivery settings at the service site, support of program development and delivery, support of the development and delivery of staff training curricula, and providing oversight to the medical aspects of each service sites’ Quality Assurance/Improvement Committee. Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts periodic, medically related audits of all service delivery settings.

  • Reports findings of the written audit report to professional staff at the service delivery site.

  • Supports the development of education and training curricula and service delivery systems to enhance the staff's ability.

  • Provide employees with professional development opportunities through in-house training and training offered through community resources.

  • Provides oversight to the Quality Assurance/Improvement Committee.

  • Monitors related quality assurance committees which assess the satisfaction of medical services from service recipients, families, guardians, and staff.

  • Reviews medical aspects of Quality Improvement Plan/Action Plans.

  • Provides support to various departments/services for the development and implementation of the plans.

  • Develops materials, as needed, to support action plans and for educational and training purposes.

Requirements

Successful candidates for the Quality Assurance Nurse role are able to effectively perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

  • BS in Nursing preferred

Experience:

  • Prefer at least three years experience working in a long-term healthcare setting
