Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Cyber Security Analyst to support the organization’s cyber security operations and protect systems, networks, applications, and information assets from security threats.

The role will support security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, risk and compliance activities, and implementation of security controls.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and identify potential cyber security threats and incidents.

• Support investigation, analysis, containment, and remediation of security incidents.

• Assist in day-to-day SOC and security monitoring activities.

• Perform or support vulnerability assessments and track remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

• Monitor and support security solutions such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security/EDR, and antivirus solutions

• Assist with security risk assessments and identification of security gaps.

• Support implementation and maintenance of cyber security policies, procedures, and controls.

• Participate in internal and external security audits and compliance activities.

• Coordinate with IT, network, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve security issues.

• Maintain incident records, security reports, and vulnerability remediation status.

• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering

  , or a related field.

• Cyber security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CCNA, Microsoft Security, or equivalent are preferred.

Experience

• 1–4 years of relevant experience in Cyber Security / Information Security.

• Experience or practical exposure in one or more of the following areas:

• Security Operations Center (SOC)

• SIEM / Security Monitoring

• Incident Response

• Vulnerability Management

• Endpoint Security / EDR

• Network Security

• Information Security Risk & Compliance

• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and common security controls.

• Fresh or junior professionals with strong hands-on cyber security exposure/certifications may also be considered.
