Job description
SUMMARY:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, this person will be the first line of defense against cybercrime for our clients’ networks. This individual will protect our managed clients’ networks from cyberattacks and unauthorized access by monitoring, reviewing, and responding to security events.

Respond to security tickets as they arrive

Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner

Monitor and analyze security events and logs to identify potential threats and suspicious activity

Monitor and maintain security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection software, MFA and other security tools

Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in clients' systems and networks

Review vulnerability assessments and perform remediations of identified issues
-
Review patching status of endpoints

Assist with the development and document security policies and procedures

Stay up to date on the latest cyber threats and mitigation strategies

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Associate’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field

2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst role
-
Strong understanding of networking concepts and security principles
-
Experience with common Operating Systems and configurations
-
Experience with security tools and technologies like EDR, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, vulnerability scanners and SIEM
-
Experience in a managed services provider environment a plus
-
Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CySA+ or equivalent a plus
