Remote | Full-Time Opportunity (40 hours per week)
Epiq Counsel is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to support a major global organization operating in a complex and highly regulated environment. This remote fullrole will handle complex cybersecurity, incident response, customer assurance, and cross-functional matters.
Key Responsibilities

Support ongoing global cybersecurity compliance initiatives.

Assist with security incident response assessments, investigations, and related compliance obligations.

Partner with Information Security teams on incident management, cyber risk, and governance matters.

Respond to customer cybersecurity assessments, security questionnaires, audits, and assurance requests.

Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.

Advise internal stakeholders on cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection requirements.

Review and analyze technical and product-related cybersecurity questions.

Participate in cross-functional discussions involving product architecture, data flows, security controls, and technical risk management.
Qualifications
Education & Professional Background

Juris Doctor (JD) required for attorney candidates.

Non-attorney candidates will be considered based on relevant experience in cybersecurity, privacy, information security, compliance, governance, risk management, or related disciplines.

Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity compliance, cybersecurity incident response, incident management, privacy, technology compliance, or information security experience.

Experience supporting Information Security (InfoSec) teams and initiatives.

Familiarity with global cybersecurity regulations, frameworks, and industry standards, including: NIS2, EU Cyber Resilience Act, ISO 27001.

Information security program standards and protocols

Experience supporting customer security questionnaires, assessments, audits, or assurance reviews.

Ability to understand technical concepts, data flows, system architecture discussions, and cybersecurity controls.

Comfortable working directly with technical, product, engineering, compliance, and security teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.
Preferred Experience

Technology, software, SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, industrial technology, or data-focused organizations.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs.

Product security or product counseling experience.

Vendor risk management and third-party security reviews.

Privacy and cybersecurity program management.

Experience supporting global compliance initiatives and regulatory programs.
