Job Purpose

The Reporting and Data Analyst is responsible for transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights to support internal and external stakeholders. This role involves performing detailed analysis of healthcare and pharmacy claims data, developing dynamic dashboards and reports, and providing data-driven recommendations. This role will collaborate across departments to identify needs and provide timely, accurate, and meaningful reporting to drive decision-making and performance improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interpret and translate client and stakeholder requirements into clearly scoped analytical deliverables

  • Analyze complex healthcare claims and pharmacy data to surface financial and utilization insights

  • Investigate data findings beyond the surface level to identify underlying drivers, challenge assumptions, and surface insights proactively

  • Design, develop, and maintain ad hoc and enterprise reports using SQL, Access, VBA, Tableau, or other available analytical tools

  • Validate and troubleshoot data anomalies to ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting outputs

  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting initiatives as business needs evolve

  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders (operations, clinical, and executive teams) and external clients

  • Participate in sprint planning by estimating capacity accurately, selecting appropriately scoped tickets, and flagging risks before the sprint begins

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of work in progress, including ticket status, methodology notes, and next steps

  • Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, communicating risks proactively and surfacing blockers before they affect delivery

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Translates complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrates a strong desire to build and maintain ongoing metrics, reports, and analyses with increasing independence over time

  • Approaches problems logically and systematically with a high degree of attention to detail

  • Communicates with exceptional clarity both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization

  • Works collaboratively and adapts effectively to different working styles, teams, and personalities

  • Operates with a high degree of self-motivation and professionalism in a fully remote environment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a reporting, data, or business analyst role preferably in the healthcare, PBM, or insurance industry.

  • Experience in two or more of the following environments: Access, Excel, SQL, VBA, Python

  • Experience with quantitative analytics

  • Experience managing/working with large databases is a strong advantage

  • Experience with Tableau Desktop/Server strongly preferred

  • Project management experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of PBM/healthcare industry strongly preferred

Work environment requirements

A home office setting, free from noise and distraction allowing you to interact professionally both externally and internally that allows appropriate maintenance of confidentiality as required by HIPAA.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.50 - $43.27 per hour
