In this role you will work across our client engagements, providing expertise in data flow analysis, data quality, data storage, data mapping and transformation, data profiling, data modeling and data solution design. You will be responsible for analyzing customer’s data environments and data flow lifecycles to produce documentation capturing those analyses along with alternatives and/or recommendations to address data management issues related to data completeness and quality, data integration and visibility and data technology solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform the following critical tasks independently with direction from PGT leadership or designated team leads:

Provide data architecture and modeling support through creation of logical data models and information analysis artifacts, analyzing process diagrams to identify relevant data concepts and their relationships to underlying technologies and maintaining traceability from business requirements to data architecture content.

Compare current state information models, requirements and technical solutions to future state models, identifying authoritative data sources, integration gaps and digital maturity recommendations aimed at reducing data silos and improving data visibility and storage modernization.

Use expertise in data management principles to design data pipelines.

Facilitate working sessions with subject matter experts and stakeholders during data-focused elicitation/elaboration (both virtual and in-person) and capture relevant data requirements, data workflow, storage and utilization solutions, properties and challenges.

Review and synthesize research reports, technical documentation and other sources to help frame analysis plans and aid in the interpretation of results.

Assist with development of proposed solutions that solve/alleviate client problems.

Prepare and present the results of analyses in the form of visualizations and PowerPoint slides
Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience performing data architecture, analysis and modeling, including strategic design of data systems and production of comprehensive data documentation such as information models, modeling guides and data dictionaries.

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience.

Data management experience in the following areas: Data Modeling & Design, Data Quality, Reference and Master Data Management and Data Storage & Operations.

Experience with Cloud platform, on-premises and hybrid solutions for data management strategies.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database, including maintenance and writing queries.

Strong business analysis and interpersonal skills to analyze SOPs and related documentation, elicit input from subject matter experts and document requirements with traceability from business requirements through process models to specific data elements.

Excellent ability to communicate concisely and effectively with clients and software engineers

Detail-oriented with excellent written communication skills to assist in collecting and documenting information models, design documents and related content to ensure final product meets or exceeds customer requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams.

Flexible, patient and adaptable to quickly changing priorities; always maintaining professionalism.

Willing to assist other team members, as needed, by sharing experience/knowledge to improve the overall quality of client experience.
Additional Desired Skills:

U.S. Department of Energy experience is preferred.

Experience working on government contracts/projects a plus.

Data Management certification or demonstrated understanding of data management principles a plus.

Certification in, or knowledge of, Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, Zachman) a plus.

Additional data management experience in one or more of the following areas: Data Integration & Interoperability, Data Governance, Data Security, or Data Analytics & Business Intelligence.

Experience performing aspects of business architecture, enterprise architecture, or system architecture duties a plus.

Experience with big data tools and frameworks (e.g., PySpark, SparkSQL) a plus.

Experience maintaining metadata extracts or automation scripts (e.g., PHP, XML) a plus.

Experience using Microsoft Visio for process modeling, especially leveraging Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) 2.0 industry modeling standards a plus.

Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI or equivalent a plus.

Familiarity with ASP.NET, C#, PHP, XML, UML, or other software development experience a plus.

Willingness to learn new skills and tools.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
