Role Description

The Data Center Level 1 Network Support Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Eemshaven. This position involves monitoring network performance, responding to alerts, and performing first-level diagnosis of network issues within the data center environment. The engineer will provide technical support, escalate complex incidents to higher-level teams, and assist in maintaining network devices and connectivity according to established procedures. Daily responsibilities include documenting incidents and resolutions, following security and compliance guidelines, and collaborating with other IT staff to ensure stable and secure operations. The role also includes participating in scheduled maintenance activities and supporting continuous improvement of network support processes.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering to manage and support data center network infrastructure.
Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to handle Level 1 incidents and resolve user and system issues efficiently.
Candidates should possess Network Security knowledge to follow security best practices and support secure network operations.
Relevant experience in data center or enterprise network environments is beneficial.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a structured, process-driven setting.
Willingness to work on-site in Eemshaven and collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent training are an advantage.
