Job Summary

Aaratech Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and improve cloud-based data solutions. You will design and maintain scalable pipelines, help shape data models and engineering standards, and support analytics and BI teams with reliable, well-structured data.

What You Will Do

• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise data integration on cloud platforms.

• Help design and optimize data warehouse and lakehouse structures (Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse).

• Write efficient SQL and Python/PySpark transformations.

• Contribute to CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices for data pipelines.

• Help maintain data quality and documentation across the platform.

• Partner with analysts, data scientists, and application teams to deliver trusted data.

• Support and guide junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.

• 4+ years of data engineering or related experience (ETL, data warehousing, cloud data work).

• Strong SQL and solid Python skills.

• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud data platform — Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse/Data Factory, or AWS Glue/Redshift.

• Experience designing data models or pipelines for multi-source environments.

• Comfortable explaining technical work to non-technical stakeholders.

Tools You Will Work With

• Cloud: Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric) or AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3) — one is enough.

• Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, or Delta Lake.

• Processing: SQL, Python, PySpark.

• Orchestration: Airflow, dbt, or Azure Data Factory — any of these.

• DevOps: Git plus Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Streaming experience (Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis).

• Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code exposure.

• Familiarity with data governance or catalog tools (Unity Catalog, Purview, Collibra).

• Any work preparing data for AI/ML use cases.

• Certifications such as Databricks Data Engineer, SnowPro, DP-203, or AWS Data Engineer — a plus, not a requirement.
