Role: Data Engineer

Location: Houston, TX (onsite only)

Contract Role

Role Overview:

The Data Engineer focuses on building and maintaining data platforms, data pipelines, AI/ML workflows, and cloud-based solutions that support Client's energy industry software products.

Mandatory Skills

5+ years of relevant software/data engineering experience.

Oil And Gas Experience Preferred

Python

SQL

Data Modeling

ETL/Data Pipeline Engineering

AI/ML Frameworks

Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS)

Software Development fundamentals

System Design and Architecture

Full-stack exposure (Angular/Node.js preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Develop and manage end-to-end AI/ML pipelines.
Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality initiatives.
Design and deploy cloud-native data and AI solutions.
Implement LLM and Generative AI solutions, including:
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Vector databases/search
Prompt orchestration pipelines
Ensure data governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
Monitor production systems for reliability, performance, and scalability.
Participate in architecture decisions for enterprise-scale platforms.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
