Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Data Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from multiple sources into data warehouses and other storage solutions. The role involves developing and optimizing data models that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs. The Data Engineer will collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand data requirements, ensure data quality, and support data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities also include monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, implementing best practices for data security, and contributing to continuous improvement of the data infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Data Engineering skills, including building and maintaining data pipelines.

• Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to design efficient, scalable data structures.

• Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to integrate data from varied sources.

• Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to support reporting, dashboards, and insight generation.

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, SQL, and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent) is beneficial.

• Understanding of data governance, data security, and best practices for handling sensitive information.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex data concepts clearly.
