Data Engineer

• We are looking for a Data Engineer I who is an exceptional early-career engineer with strong Python and SQL skills and a passion for solving complex challenging technical problems and dealing with a certain amount of ambiguity.

• Build and maintain data pipelines and data products and solutions using Python, SQL and modern cloud data platforms and technologies

• Develop, test and troubleshoot data ingestion, transformations and workflows

• Apply software engineering practices including Git, testing, and CI/CD

• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development and testing productivity

• Collaborate with experienced engineers, take ownership, adapt and learn quickly and deliver solutions that directly support our data and other stakeholders

• Willing to embrace the pace, ambiguity and challenges of a startup environment

• 0-2 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science or a related technical field

• Excellent Python programming skills and a reasonable knowledge of SQL

• Has completed one or more internships, research or created projects in software or data engineering

• Exposure or a decent understanding of Cloud Data Platforms

• Exposure/Experience building with Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kafka or similar technologies

• Experience using AI-enabled development tools and technologies
