Job Summary

Aaratech Inc. is seeking a

Junior Data Scientist

with 2–3 years of professional experience to analyze complex datasets, identify meaningful patterns, build predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate has strong Python and SQL skills, a solid understanding of statistics and machine learning, and the ability to communicate analytical findings effectively. You will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, software engineers, and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets.

• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and relationships.

• Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning and statistical models.

• Use Python and SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.

• Perform feature engineering and prepare datasets for machine learning models.

• Evaluate model performance using appropriate statistical and machine-learning metrics.

• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights.

• Support data science projects from data preparation through analysis and model development.

• Collaborate with data engineers and technical teams to prepare reliable datasets and analytical pipelines.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Document analytical processes, methodologies, assumptions, and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2–3 years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related field.

• Strong hands-on programming experience with Python.

• Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, subqueries, aggregations, and window functions.

• Experience with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and other common Python data-science libraries.

• Understanding of statistics, probability, regression, classification, and machine-learning concepts.

• Experience with data visualization using Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and data-storytelling abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning.

• Knowledge of feature selection and model optimization.

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines.

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.

• Knowledge of A/B testing and statistical experimentation.

• Exposure to NLP, time-series analysis, recommendation systems, or deep learning is a plus.

• Familiarity with MLflow or basic MLOps concepts is a plus.

• Cloud, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Analytics certifications are a plus.
