continuous improvement are key drivers of success. We are seeking a Data

Scientist to join our team on a 9-month maternity leave contract, helping us

unlock the value of data and support smarter decision-making across our berry

operations. Reporting to the National Transformation Manager, this role forms

part of our Continuous Improvement team and is based in Woolgoolga, NSW.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly analytical

and commercially minded Data Scientist who is passionate about solving complex

problems and uncovering insights from data.

Working closely with operational and business stakeholders,

you will identify opportunities to leverage data, develop predictive models,

and deliver practical solutions that improve productivity, efficiency and

commercial outcomes. You will be comfortable working with large datasets,

communicating technical findings to a broad audience and driving business

results through data-based insights.

This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing technical

expertise with strong stakeholder engagement and is motivated by the

opportunity to influence decision-making across a large and diverse operation.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to

    identify opportunities to leverage data and improve business outcomes

  • Analyse

    large and complex datasets to support process optimisation, harvest

    techniques and business strategy development

  • Develop and implement predictive models, algorithms

    and analytical tools

  • Assess and improve the effectiveness and accuracy

    of data collection methods and data sources

  • Design, develop and evaluate testing frameworks to

    validate model performance

  • Coordinate with operational and functional teams to

    implement data-driven solutions

  • Monitor, maintain and enhance analytical models and

    reporting tools

  • Present insights and recommendations that support

    decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Promote and contribute to Costa's health, safety

    and continuous improvement culture

**What You'll

Bring**

  • Experience in a Data Scientist or similar

    analytical role, demonstrating successful project delivery and measurable

    results

  • Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics,

    Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline

  • Experience using statistical and analytical tools

    to manipulate data and generate meaningful insights

  • Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques,

    predictive modelling, regression analysis, simulations and advanced

    analytics

  • Experience developing and implementing data models,

    algorithms and analytical solutions

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to

    engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders

  • Strong project management, organisational and

    problem-solving skills

  • Ability to translate complex data into practical

    recommendations and business outcomes
