What you'll do

• You'll own product analytics end-to-end: logging, funnels, experiments, anomaly detection, and investigations that directly shape product decisions.

Example projects

• Investigate the cause of changes to user behavior. Pinpoint which traffic source, product or infra changes affected which subset of users. Build automated systems to diagnose and investigate this.

• You'll run A/B tests, including setting up event data, checking implementation details and investigating unexpected results.

• Independently implement relevant product analytics and logging to understand different customer journeys in detail.

What you'll bring

• Hands-on experience with product analytics. You write queries, check data yourself, and make your conclusions traceable and verifiable.

• Enough technical ability to create and debug event logging, read and write code, understand product flows, and work closely with engineers.

• A methodical, skeptical approach to investigations. You know the difference between a real insight, a weak signal, and a guess.

• Hunger to move fast, learn the product deeply, and get to the truth.

Our interview process

1. Intro call:

   15 minutes to align on the role and company.

2. Founder interview:

   go deep on what you’ve built, how you think, and how you work.

3. Data investigation:

   1 hour with a real dataset. Write the queries yourself and defend your read of what happened.

4. Paid work trial:

   spend 3 days with us in Sydney working on a real problem. We cover travel and accommodation, if needed.

5. Offer:

   if it’s a strong fit, we move quickly.
