About the role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is an exciting opportunity to join an automotive dealer group as a Dealership Accountant. In this full-time role, you will be based in our office in Alexandria, NSW. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting and reporting support to the group's operations.
What you'll be doing

Prepare monthly financial reports and statements for the dealer group, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis

Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial data

Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoicing and customer billing, as well as contract verification, on-road costs, and aftermarket details

Manage service-related receivables and payables, covering mechanical, warranty, and parts operations

Assist with product pricing, budgets, forecasts, and other ad-hoc financial analysis

Process weekly supplier payments, including quotation/contract review and payment approval

Review OEM policies and rebate margin schedules in a timely manner

Liaise with various internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
What we're looking for

Strong intention and exciting in Electric car industry and challenge career opptunity

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

Proven experience (1-3 years) in a similar dealer group or automotive industry accounting role

Strong technical accounting skills, with a good understanding of financial reporting and analysis

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data

Proficient in the use of accounting software, spreadsheets and other financial systems
-
Strong attention to detail and a passion for providing high-quality financial information

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
