DevOps/CloudOps Engineer

We're looking for a

Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

to help scale the technology behind one of the world's most exciting AgTech platforms.

eShepherd is transforming livestock management through virtual fencing technology. With deployments across 20+ countries and rapid growth throughout North America, we're building a platform that must perform at scale, across regions, and in some of the world's most challenging environments.

Why this role is exciting

This isn't a maintenance role.

You'll help shape the future architecture of a rapidly growing IoT platform, tackling challenges across:

• Cloud infrastructure and AWS scalability

• Database performance and optimisation

• Platform reliability and observability

• DevOps, CI/CD and automation

• Multi-region deployments

• Capacity planning and future architecture

• Global platform growth

You'll be the North American engineering presence, partnering closely with our R&D teams in New Zealand and Australia while supporting a platform used by farmers and ranchers around the world.

What we're looking for

• Strong AWS infrastructure experience (ECS, EKS, RDS)

• Deep MySQL and database optimisation expertise

• DevOps and Infrastructure as Code experience

• Performance tuning, monitoring and incident response capability

• Experience supporting production systems at scale

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across time zones

• Curiosity, initiative and a data-driven approach to problem solving
