About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on DevOps Engineer to join a major engineering and integration project in Abu Dhabi for an 8-month contract. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in Linux administration, CI/CD automation, infrastructure management, and deployment engineering.

You will work closely with software, system engineering, integration, testing, and deployment teams to build, automate, and maintain reliable development and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git-based workflows.

• Automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes.

• Manage and maintain Linux-based development and infrastructure environments.

• Develop automation scripts using Python and/or Bash.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices.

• Support integration, testing, and deployment activities.

• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure and application issues.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational guides.

• Support security and compliance requirements across infrastructure and applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience.

• Strong experience with:

• Jenkins

• Git / GitLab

• Linux Administration

• Docker

• Ansible

• Terraform

• Python and/or Bash Scripting

• CI/CD Pipeline Development

• Infrastructure Automation

• Experience with containerized environments and deployment automation.

• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and system integration.

• Experience troubleshooting production environments and performing root cause analysis.

• Good understanding of REST APIs and Microservices architecture.

• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar databases.

• Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and Jira.

Preferred Skills

• Docker Swarm experience.

• Kubernetes or OpenShift experience.

• Cybersecurity, server hardening, or PKI knowledge.

• Experience within defense, aerospace, telecommunications, transportation, or other critical infrastructure environments.

• Relevant DevOps, Linux, Cloud, Networking, or Security certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Professional certifications are highly regarded.
