DevOps Engineer
Overview
FinXL IT Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across financial services, telecommunications, government, and enterprise sectors.
We are seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to be a part of our customer's modern Azure ecosystem. Working alongside the Cloud and Data Engineering teams during an Azure landing zone build, you will ensure automated delivery pathways, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code pipelines are operational from day one to support concurrent workload deployment and service migration.
Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Design, build, and optimise automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions for both infrastructure and software/data workloads.

Infrastructure Deployment Automation: Partner with Cloud Engineers to integrate IaC scripts (Terraform/Bicep) into fully automated, version-controlled delivery workflows.

Environment & Policy Enforcement: Implement automated quality gates, security scans, and policy checks (DevSecOps) directly within deployment pipelines.

Monitoring & Observability: Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions across the Azure environment using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

Operational Excellence: Support data and cloud engineers in establishing agile delivery standards, branching strategies, and release management frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience

Expert hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines.

Strong experience integrating Terraform or Bicep into deployment pipelines for automated provisioning.

Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for operational scripting and process automation.

Experience incorporating static analysis, secret scanning, and automated policy testing into CI/CD workflows.

Hands-on experience setting up Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and centralised diagnostic logging.
