Job Title: DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Whites Technologies is seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to manage, automate, and optimize our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. In this role, you will build robust CI/CD workflows, manage containerized applications, monitor system performance, and ensure high availability, security, and scalability across our development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

  • Cloud Infrastructure & IaC: Provision and manage scalable cloud resources (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure reliable microservices deployment and scaling.

  • System Monitoring & Reliability: Set up, maintain, and respond to alerts using monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure 99.9%+ system uptime.

  • Security & Compliance: Enforce DevSecOps practices by integrating automated security scans, secrets management, and access controls into deployment pipelines.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Administration.

  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience managing core cloud services on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Container & Infrastructure Tools: Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).

  • Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for infrastructure automation and workflow enhancement.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, CKA) are a strong plus.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent technical problem-solving capabilities, strong collaborative skills, and a proactive approach to system reliability.
