  • Oversee the Attendant Care Monitoring program and ensure consistent monitoring, reporting, follow-up, and corrective action.

  • Develop and lead the organization’s Internal Audit Program, including risk-based audits, compliance reviews, program observations, reporting, and corrective action follow-up.

  • Lead the development, revision, standardization, and ongoing governance of organizational policies, procedures, and SOPs.

  • Coordinate external audits, regulatory reviews, licensing inspections, and related corrective action requirements.

  • Lead CARF accreditation readiness, including gap assessments, documentation, survey preparation, ongoing compliance, and future renewals.

  • Monitor regulatory and contractual requirements, identify significant or recurring compliance risks, and partner with operational and executive leadership to drive corrective action and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, quality management, compliance, business administration, social services, or a related field required.

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, or experience working with DDD, AHCCCS/ALTCS, HCBS, or similar Medicaid-funded or regulated human service programs strongly preferred.

  • Experience with CARF or another healthcare/human services accreditation process strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to develop clear policies, procedures, SOPs, audit reports, corrective action plans, and regulatory responses.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, audits, and long-term initiatives.

  • Sound judgment, objectivity, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to appropriately identify and escalate compliance concerns.

  • Ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across departments, locations, and leadership levels.

  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle for local travel.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Flexible); some evenings and weekends may be required.

  • Organization-wide leadership role requiring independence, discretion, professional judgment, and accountability.

  • Local travel between organizational locations and attendance at external meetings, audits, surveys, or regulatory activities is a requirement.

  • Fast-paced role balancing day-to-day compliance oversight with long-term quality, audit, policy, and accreditation priorities.

Why Join Pathways?

  • Opportunity to build and shape a growing Quality Assurance & Compliance Department.

  • Collaborative leadership environment with the ability to strengthen systems across programs and locations.
