Electrical Design Engineer - LV Switchgear

Mind Stream is hiring for our client, an LV switchgear manufacturer/panel builder, for an Electrical Design Engineer focused on LV switchgear and panel design.

Responsibilities:

• Design LV switchgear and panels, including MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, and control panels

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings and shop drawings for manufacturing

• Ensure designs comply with relevant IEC standards

• Review and approve design specifications for electrical components

• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve design queries and update documents based on production or quality-control feedback

• Support technical submittals for review and maintain records of design revisions and approvals

Requirements:

• Design engineer experience at an LV switchgear manufacturer or panel builder

• Hands-on LV switchgear and panel design across MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, and control panels

• Strong AutoCAD and electrical design software skills for detailed drawings and shop drawings

• Working knowledge of IEC standards for electrical design compliance

• Ability to verify busbar configurations, wiring layouts, and component specifications

Experience: 3-7 years

Location: Doha, Qatar - on site at the factory (Industrial Area), not an office role

Contract duration: 2 years, renewable
