Role Description

An

Electrical Engineer

is responsible for designing, installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment. The role ensures electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, reliably, and in accordance with technical specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and installations.

• Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.

• Install, test, inspect, and commission electrical systems and equipment.

• Troubleshoot electrical faults, failures, and performance issues.

• Monitor power systems, electrical panels, generators, motors, control systems, and related equipment.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, MEP, construction, and project teams.

• Review electrical drawings, technical submissions, materials, and equipment specifications.

• Conduct site inspections and ensure electrical work meets approved designs and standards.

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company procedures.

• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, test results, and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and equipment manufacturers.

• Assist with project planning, cost estimates, schedules, and technical problem-solving.

• Support electrical safety procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response activities.

• Identify opportunities to improve

  system reliability, energy efficiency, safety, performance, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in

  Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering

  , or a related field.

• Previous experience in electrical engineering, construction, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial projects is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, motors, and electrical equipment.

• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD, ETAP

  , electrical design software, or similar engineering tools is advantageous.

• Good understanding of electrical codes, standards, safety requirements, and testing procedures.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documents.

• Strong communication, coordination, project-management, and teamwork skills.

• Relevant professional engineering certification or license is advantageous where required.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering documentation systems.

• Professional, safety-conscious, technically skilled, organized, and detail-oriented.
