Electrical Engineer - DEWA Approvals & Electrical Design

About the Company

We are a Dubai-based contracting company specializing in building contracting, interior decoration, fit-out, design and implementation works. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for electrical design, DEWA submissions, authority approvals and technical coordination.

Job Responsibilities

* Prepare and review electrical drawings for residential, commercial and fit-out projects.

* Prepare DEWA-compliant electrical drawings and technical submissions.

* Handle DEWA portal submissions, approvals, comments, revisions and follow-ups.

* Prepare electrical load calculations, load schedules and maximum demand calculations.

* Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical distribution layouts.

* Prepare lighting, power, DB, SMDB and MDB layouts and schedules.

* Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, civil, HVAC, plumbing and interior design drawings.

* Coordinate with DEWA, consultants, contractors and other relevant authorities.

* Review authority comments and make necessary revisions for approval.

* Conduct site inspections and coordinate electrical works with the site team.

* Ensure site installations are carried out according to approved drawings and applicable standards.

* Review electrical shop drawings and material submittals.

* Maintain proper records of drawings, submissions, approvals and authority correspondence.

* Support the company with DEWA electrical contractor enrolment and related requirements.

* Provide technical support during project execution and authority inspections.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

* Minimum 1–3 years of relevant UAE experience.

* Strong practical knowledge of DEWA electrical requirements and approval procedures.

* Previous experience with DEWA submissions and authority approvals is highly preferred.

* Good knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical drafting.

* Experience preparing SLDs, load schedules, lighting layouts and power layouts.

* Knowledge of Dubai Municipality requirements is an advantage.

* Good understanding of electrical installation, testing and site coordination.

* Strong communication and documentation skills.

* Ability to work independently and coordinate with consultants, authorities and site teams.

* UAE experience is preferred.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with hands-on experience in DEWA electrical drawings, submissions, comments, revisions and approvals will be given preference.

Salary: 5, 000 AED per month.
