Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of electrical systems across our managed facilities. You will ensure systems run reliably, comply with local regulations and HSE standards, and are maintained through well-planned preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems

  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical equipment, including LV panels, generators, UPS, ATS units, and fire alarm interfaces

  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, utility authority regulations, and HSE requirements

  • Review and approve work permits, method statements, and risk assessments

  • Coordinate and supervise technicians, electricians, and subcontractors

  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs, and carry out root cause analysis

  • Prepare inspection reports, maintenance records, and as-built documentation

  • Monitor energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvements

  • Support planned shutdowns, system upgrades, and minor projects

  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders on service performance and SLA compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance or operations, with at least 3 years in facilities management, building services, or a similar environment

  • Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, MEP services, and relevant international and local standards

  • Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning

  • Registration or accreditation with the relevant professional engineering body is preferred

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and reporting skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD

  • Valid Qatar driving license preferred
