Role Description

An

Electrical Engineer

is responsible for designing, installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment. The role ensures electrical installations operate safely, reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable engineering standards, project requirements, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and installations.

• Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.

• Install, inspect, test, commission, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.

• Troubleshoot electrical faults, equipment failures, and system performance issues.

• Monitor and maintain power distribution systems, panels, generators, motors, and control systems.

• Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.

• Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, materials, and equipment submissions.

• Conduct site inspections and ensure electrical work meets approved designs and standards.

• Coordinate with MEP, engineering, construction, project, and maintenance teams.

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and equipment manufacturers.

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, engineering standards, workplace safety requirements, and project specifications.

• Maintain accurate inspection reports, maintenance records, test results, and technical documentation.

• Support project planning, scheduling, cost control, and electrical installation activities.

• Identify electrical risks and implement appropriate safety and corrective measures.

• Support emergency response, system recovery, and equipment breakdown activities.

• Identify opportunities to improve

  electrical reliability, energy efficiency, safety, system performance, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in

  Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering

  , or a related field.

• Previous experience in electrical engineering, installation, maintenance, or project engineering is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, motors, generators, and electrical equipment.

• Experience with electrical drawings, schematics, calculations, testing, and commissioning.

• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, safety requirements, and engineering practices.

• Experience with

  AutoCAD, ETAP

  , or similar engineering software is advantageous.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Strong project coordination, communication, and teamwork abilities.

• Professional engineering license or certification is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, technical issues, and deadlines.
