Job Summary

Rime Group FZE is seeking an Electrical Engineer with relevant practical experience to join its Engineering and R&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical panel installation, wiring, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.

This position is suitable for an engineer who can handle routine responsibilities independently while working with senior engineers on more complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical panels and control systems.

• Perform electrical wiring, cable termination, testing, and commissioning.

• Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.

• Support the design and modification of electrical panels and control circuits.

• Select appropriate electrical components, including circuit breakers, contactors, relays, overload protection devices, sensors, and cables.

• Prepare bills of materials and technical specifications.

• Troubleshoot electrical and control-system faults.

• Configure and troubleshoot controllers, VFDs, PLCs, and HMIs when required.

• Conduct continuity, insulation-resistance, functional, and electrical-safety tests.

• Ensure completed work complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety requirements.

• Coordinate with the Mechanical Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Site teams.

• Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and after-sales service.

• Maintain accurate testing, commissioning, and technical records.

• Support product and process improvements related to safety, reliability, energy efficiency, and ease of maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

• Practical experience in electrical panel installation, wiring, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or control panels is preferred.

• Good knowledge of electrical drawings, control circuits, and protection systems.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar software is an advantage.

• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, controllers, and VFDs is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of electrical safety requirements.

• Responsible, organised, and able to complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
