Job description
LeoPalace Resort Guam is seeking a hands-on Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Manager to help lead engineering and maintenance operations across our mixed-use resort property.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, practical leadership, and the ability to keep critical systems operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
What You’ll Do

Lead and actively assist with the inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, kitchen, laundry, and fire/life-safety systems.

Oversee water distribution, water-softening, swimming pool, and wastewater treatment plant systems.

Manage preventive maintenance programs and CMMS work orders to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Assign daily priorities, inspect completed work, and provide hands-on training and technical guidance to the maintenance team.

Conduct property walk-throughs, identify deficiencies, and ensure repairs are completed promptly and properly.

Enforce OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, building codes, and safe work practices.

Respond to urgent maintenance issues and system failures while minimizing disruption to guests and operations.

Coordinate contractors, vendors, renovations, equipment installations, materials, and critical inventory.

Maintain accurate schedules, maintenance records, inspection reports, and shift handovers.
What We’re Looking For
-
Engineering or maintenance leadership experience in a hotel, resort, or large commercial facility.

Ability to lead, direct, and work alongside a multidisciplinary maintenance team during routine operations, complex repairs, and emergency situations.

Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and water-treatment systems; WWTP experience is preferred.

Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and CMMS platforms.

Knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental requirements, building codes, and fire/life-safety systems.

Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and construction documents.

Strong leadership, troubleshooting, organization, and communication skills.

Experience coordinating vendors, purchasing, budgets, and facility projects.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to operational emergencies.
