Estimation Engineer – Architectural Metal & Glass Works

Job Role:

Responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for bespoke architectural metal and glass works, including stainless steel, aluminum, glass, and decorative metal works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural, structural, and shop drawings, specifications, BOQ, and tender documents.

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for stainless steel, aluminum, glass, GI, MS, ACP, PVD finishes, and decorative metal works.

• Prepare material, fabrication, installation, and finishing cost estimates.

• Estimate glass works including tempered, laminated, insulated, mirrors, shower enclosures, balustrades, and glass partitions.

• Estimate stainless steel and aluminum works including handrails, balustrades, doors, screens, louvers, cladding, and bespoke architectural elements.

• Calculate quantities and costs for hardware, accessories, fittings, sealants, fasteners, and consumables.

• Obtain and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations.

• Prepare BOQ, rate analysis, cost breakdowns, and commercial proposals.

• Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, production, and project teams to verify technical requirements and costs.

• Identify material specifications, finishes, fabrication requirements, and installation methods affecting project costs.

• Prepare variation and additional-work quotations.

• Maintain estimation records, supplier quotation databases, and material price information.

• Support tender submissions and ensure quotations are submitted within deadlines.

• Conduct site visits when required to understand existing conditions and project requirements.

• Review project costs against estimated quantities and assist in maintaining project profitability.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors when required.

Pay: QAR3,328.22 - QAR11,932.48 per month
