Estimation Engineer โ Construction
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to join our construction team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, tendering, and construction pricing.
The candidate should be able to independently review tender documents, prepare accurate estimates, obtain subcontractor and supplier quotations, and submit competitive tenders within strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope of work.

Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Prepare material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.

Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Prepare detailed rate analysis and cost breakdowns.

Identify discrepancies, scope gaps, exclusions, and commercial risks.

Prepare tender submissions, clarifications, qualifications, and exclusions.

Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Commercial, and Project teams.

Assist in value engineering and cost optimization.

Maintain updated databases of material prices, supplier rates, subcontractor rates, and historical project costs.

Support post-tender negotiations and clarifications.

Ensure all estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within the required deadlines.
Requirements

Bachelorโs Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in estimation/tendering within the construction industry.

UAE construction experience is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and tender pricing.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Good knowledge of UAE construction materials, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing.

Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation/quantity take-off software.

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.

Knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority requirements is an advantage.
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED13,000.00 per month
