Estimation Engineer (Fire Fighting Systems)

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Review tender documents, project specifications, BOQs, and firefighting system drawings.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and material requirements for firefighting systems.

• Estimate the cost of materials, equipment, installation, labor, and other project-related expenses.

• Prepare competitive quotations and commercial proposals in line with project specifications and client requirements.

• Coordinate with the Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Projects departments to obtain technical and commercial information.

• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and verify material pricing.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining technical compliance and quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with applicable NFPA standards, Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) requirements, and relevant project specifications.

• Follow up on tender clarifications, revisions, and submission deadlines.

• Maintain accurate estimation records, pricing databases, and tender documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimating firefighting and fire protection systems.

• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, and related equipment.

• Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost analysis, and tender estimation.

• Good understanding of NFPA standards and QCDD requirements.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant estimation tools.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Previous experience in the Qatar market and familiarity with local suppliers and pricing will be an advantage.

Pay: QAR1.00 - QAR2.00 per month
