Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially driven Estimator with experience in the interior fit-out industry to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates, managing tender submissions, conducting quantity take-offs and cost analysis, and supporting the commercial evaluation of potential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, realistic, and competitive estimates for labor, materials, subcontractor works, and other project-related costs to support management in evaluating the commercial viability of projects and making informed tender participation decisions.

  • Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of works, and other relevant project information to identify project requirements and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.

  • Prepare and compile complete tender submissions, ensuring all pricing, commercial, technical, and supporting documentation is accurate, competitive, and submitted within the required deadlines.

  • Review and verify all estimating and tendering aspects to ensure alignment with project requirements, specifications, and applicable industry standards.

  • Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining strong knowledge of the local UAE and overseas fit-out market, including current market rates and availability.

  • Analyze proposals, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and related documents to determine labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and time requirements.

  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and conduct commercial comparisons to achieve competitive and cost-effective pricing.

  • Conduct quantity take-offs, site measurements, rate analysis, costing, budgeting, and value engineering as required.

  • Assist in reviewing contractual requirements, commercial risks, exclusions, qualifications, and other tender conditions prior to submission.

  • Coordinate with project, design, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive tender pricing.

  • Maintain proper records of estimates, tender submissions, supplier/subcontractor quotations, and cost information for future reference.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in estimating, quantity surveying, and tendering, preferably within the commercial interior fit-out industry.

  • Hands-on experience in commercial fit-out projects, including quantity take-offs, site measurements, costing, budgeting, and tender preparation.

  • Strong understanding of the estimating and tendering process, including analysis of drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of works, and supplier/subcontractor quotations.

  • Good knowledge of UAE/local fit-out suppliers and subcontractors, with an understanding of current market rates and procurement practices.

  • Experience in general contract administration and commercial management.

  • Good knowledge of various Forms of Contract, particularly FIDIC, with exposure to construction contract law, contractual claims, variations, and related procedures.

  • Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and commercial skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant estimating/quantity surveying software.

  • Ability to work independently, meet tight tender deadlines, and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
