About The Role
The Financial Accountant will work collaboratively with the Finance team to deliver our Finance plans and objectives. You will be responsible, along with other Finance team members, for preparing and reporting monthly financial results, maintaining and following policies and procedures, supporting compliance obligations, and contributing to a clean audit outcome.
This role supports accurate, timely financial reporting for DBG Health's subsidiary entities and plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity, driving process improvements, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Role & Responsibilities

Deliver accurate month-end results within agreed timeframes, including journal preparation, reporting, and financial accounting activities for local and international entities.

Prepare and maintain key accounting processes, including inventory provisions, inventory revaluations, fixed assets, freight capitalisation, and foreign exchange revaluations.

Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues to ensure the accuracy of financial records.

Prepare monthly financial reports and support compliance activities, including GST reporting and audit requirements.

Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries and reconciliations.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, maintain finance policies and procedures, and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
Skills & Experience

3+ years' experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within FMCG, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or distribution environments.

CPA or CA qualified (or working towards completion) with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large data analysis, PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and financial reporting.

Strong month-end accounting experience, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and audit support.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex accounting issues independently.

Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools, coupled with excellent stakeholder management skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
