Fire & Security Engineer

Location: West Midlands

Package

  • Basic Salary up to £45,000

  • 40-hour working week

  • Travel paid – 15 mins each way

  • On-call payment

  • Saturday overtime paid at x1.5

  • Double time on Sundays & Bank Holidays

  • 22 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays

Established for over 10 years, we provide Electrical, Fire & Security, Commercial Gas, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration services to a wide range of commercial clients including schools, colleges, hotels, restaurants and office buildings.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our expanding team.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding across a variety of commercial electrical and fire & security systems throughout the West Midlands.

This is a varied role working on commercial properties, providing high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems.

  • Service and fault finding on Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control systems.

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.

  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.

  • Completing electrical testing and inspection where required.

  • Providing technical support and advice to customers on-site.

  • Completing all paperwork accurately using a mobile device.

  • Ensuring compliance with current Health & Safety regulations and industry standards.

Essential Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience working on commercial electrical and/or fire & security systems.

  • Experience with Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms is advantageous.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
