Fit-Out Site Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Fit-Out Site Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be fully based on-site and responsible for managing day-to-day site operations and overseeing the complete execution of interior fit-out works, ensuring quality, progress, safety, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and supervision of all site activities throughout the fit-out project.

• Be present on-site full-time to manage site operations, coordinate work teams, and monitor daily progress.

• Plan, organize, and supervise all fit-out activities, including civil works, flooring, ceilings, partitions, wall cladding, joinery, painting, and final finishing.

• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications, material approvals, and project requirements.

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, technicians, and site workers to ensure efficient execution.

• Monitor manpower allocation, material deliveries, site logistics, and equipment requirements.

• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, main contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues and avoid delays.

• Identify technical discrepancies and site constraints, proposing practical solutions in coordination with the project team.

• Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and ensure works are completed within the required timeframe.

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control, conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

• Enforce site safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized, and well-managed working environment.

• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and records of manpower, materials, and completed works.

• Manage snagging, rectification, testing, and final handover activities to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out projects.

• Proven experience independently managing and supervising the full site execution of fit-out projects.

• Strong technical knowledge of interior finishing works, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, and wall finishes.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

• Strong leadership, site management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors, and multiple work activities simultaneously.

• Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Qatar and take ownership of site progress, quality, and execution.
