Role Description

O’Mué is seeking an

experienced French Teacher

to join its team in

Lebanon

. This is a contract position requiring a minimum of

7 years of demonstrated professional experience in French language teaching

.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality French language instruction to learners at different proficiency levels using engaging, learner-centered, and communicative teaching methodologies. The role includes assessing learner progress, providing constructive and individualized feedback, maintaining accurate attendance and performance records, and adapting teaching strategies to meet different learning needs.

The French Teacher will also contribute to curriculum development, preparation and adaptation of teaching materials, learner assessments, and the continuous improvement of O’Mué's language training programmes. The position may involve both

in-person and online/hybrid teaching

, depending on programme requirements.

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate strong classroom management, excellent communication skills, professional reliability, and the ability to work effectively with learners from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of proven professional experience in French language teaching.

• Demonstrated experience teaching French to individuals and/or groups across different proficiency levels.

• Strong academic background in

  French, Education, Linguistics, Applied Languages, or a related field

  .

• Native or near-native command of

  French

  .

• Strong command of

  English

  ; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

• Demonstrated competence in lesson planning, curriculum development, and learner assessment.

• Experience developing and adapting teaching materials for different learner profiles and proficiency levels.

• Strong understanding of learner-centered, communicative, and interactive teaching methodologies.

• Experience using

  digital learning tools, online teaching platforms, and educational technology

  .

• Ability to deliver engaging lessons in both in-person and online/hybrid environments.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and classroom-management skills.

• Ability to provide constructive feedback and monitor learner progress effectively.

• Experience teaching in

  Lebanon or multicultural learning environments
