Full Stack Developer

Summary:

Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python. Responsible for delivering end-to-end features, including API development, database integration, AI-powered solutions, authentication, testing, and deployment, while ensuring performance, scalability, and code quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build React / Next.js frontends in TypeScript

• Design and implement Node.js and Python backend services and APIs

• Build and integrate AI agent features — prompt design, tool use/function calling, and RAG pipelines using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or MCP

• Own features end-to-end: database integration → API → UI → release

• Write solid SQL and grow into query performance work (query plans, indexing) with guidance

• Implement application authentication (JWT, OAuth2, session management)

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and basic monitoring for the services you ship

• Review PRs, write tests, and keep the codebase boring (in a good way)

Information Security Management System (ISMS)

• Safeguard Gulftainer’s information as per Information protection requirements.

• Implement and maintain an Information Security Management System based on the ISO/IEC 27000 series standards, including certification against ISO/IEC 27001 where applicable.

• Implement and maintain the necessary information security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines, in conjunction with the Information Technology Security Committee.

Tech Stack

• Database: Oracle (node-oracledb, PL/SQL), PostgreSQL, MySQL — SQL joins/query design; advanced: window functions, indexing

• Auth: Active Directory/LDAP, OAuth2, JWT, session management

• Testing: Vitest/Jest, Playwright/Cypress

• Tooling: Git, Docker, GitHub Actions/GitLab CI

• Process: Agile (sprint planning, standups, story breakdown, retros)

Qualification:

• 2-3 years building production web applications as a full-stack developer

• Strong React (hooks, modern patterns) and TypeScript

• Next.js in production (App Router or Pages Router)

• Node.js backend experience - Express, NestJS

• Python

• REST API design - versioning, pagination, error contracts, idempotency

• Working SQL - joins, basic query design and debugging

• Authentication fundamentals - JWT, OAuth2, session management

• Comfortable working in Agile - sprint planning, standups, story breakdown, retros

• Git, code review discipline, and the ability to debug across the stack (browser → API → DB)

• Basic understanding of AI agents - LLMs, tool use, prompt design, and common agent patterns (RAG, function calling)

• Hands-on with AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Agents SDK, MCP, or similar)
