Full Stack Developer

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developer with deep expertise in Angular front-end development and Java Spring Boot backend services to help modernize mission-critical federal applications used by millions of Americans.

You'll design and build secure, scalable web applications that improve the public's digital experience while working alongside UX designers, architects, product owners, and fellow engineers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring other developers, and contributing to modern cloud-native software architectures.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Angular (v13+) applications using TypeScript, RxJS, and reusable component architecture

• Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java 11+ and Spring Boot

• Design and implement end-to-end features spanning Angular front ends, Java services, and relational databases

• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle

• Optimize application performance, accessibility (Section 508/WCAG), responsiveness, and browser compatibility

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing and deployments within AWS cloud environments

• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability, scalability, and security

• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions

• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices across the team

• Contribute to Agile planning, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional full-stack software development experience

• 7+ years developing production Angular applications using Angular 13+, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, and SCSS

• 7+ years developing Java applications using Java 11+ and Spring Boot

• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs

• Experience developing microservices using Spring Boot

• Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, and modern CI/CD workflows

• Experience deploying or supporting applications in AWS cloud environments

• Experience working with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development teams

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, and design patterns

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
