Full-Stack Product Engineer

About the Role:

The Full-Stack Product Engineer will support Ollen in designing, building, integrating, launching, and improving digital products for clients and selected Ollen-owned initiatives. The role is for a product-minded developer who can move from business requirements and UX/UI designs to working software, integrations, deployment, and post-launch improvement.

This is not a narrow front-end or back-end role. We are looking for a practical full-stack engineer with strong e-commerce capability, hands-on development experience, and a modern AI-assisted development workflow. The person should be comfortable working across different projects, frameworks, platforms, and stages of the product lifecycle without requiring every requirement to arrive as a fully defined technical specification.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Shopify solutions (and other commerce platforms such as Salla, Magento/Adobe Commerce, and equivalent

  ), including storefront/theme development, platform configuration, APIs, webhooks, third-party applications, payment and order flows, and other commerce integrations required for live e-commerce operations.

• Build and maintain responsive web applications, customer-facing websites, administrative interfaces, and digital-product features across modern front-end and back-end stacks.

• Translate approved UX/UI designs, user journeys, business rules, and functional requirements into production-ready interfaces, APIs, database logic, integrations, and workflows.

• Develop or support mobile applications using cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter, including authentication, notifications, API connectivity, analytics, testing, and app-store release support.

• Build and enhance SaaS and digital-product capabilities such as customer accounts, permissions, subscriptions, dashboards, reporting, notifications, product analytics, background jobs, and third-party integrations.

• Integrate digital products with payment gateways, ERP/CRM/OMS systems, logistics, messaging, analytics, customer-support tools, and other external services through APIs and webhooks.

• Use AI coding tools and models such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, DeepSeek, Qwen, and comparable tools to accelerate codebase exploration, implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation while reviewing and validating generated code before production use.

• Conduct functional and technical QA, troubleshoot production issues, support deployment and releases, document solutions, and contribute to post-launch optimization and maintenance.

• Work directly with Ollen consultants, designers, project leads, external vendors, and client teams to clarify technical requirements, identify constraints, estimate effort, and recommend pragmatic build-versus-buy approaches.

Project Exposure

• Shopify and other e-commerce website design, development, integration, deployment, and ongoing enhancement.

• Corporate and customer-facing websites, portals, dashboards, and digital-service platforms.

• Mobile applications and connected web/app experiences.

• SaaS products, subscription-based platforms, and internal digital tools.

• API integrations, platform migrations, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled product features.

Experience Required

• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in full-stack software development, product engineering, e-commerce development, or a comparable hands-on engineering role.

• Demonstrated experience shipping and maintaining production web applications or digital products, with strong practical knowledge of modern front-end development and backend/API development.

• Strong practical capability with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern front-end framework such as React/Next.js, together with backend experience using Node.js, PHP/Laravel, Python, or another production backend framework.

• Working knowledge of relational databases, API design, authentication, Git-based development, deployment, debugging, and basic application-security practices.

• Strong working use of AI coding agents and models as part of a professional development workflow, with the ability to review, test, and challenge AI-generated code rather than accepting it blindly.

• Experience with Shopify, Salla, Magento/Adobe Commerce, React Native, Flutter, cloud platforms, SaaS products, CI/CD, or DevOps practices is advantageous but not required across every area.

• Strong written and spoken English. Arabic is an advantage, particularly for bilingual digital experiences and client projects.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred; strong demonstrable engineering capability and shipped products will be weighted heavily.
