Full Stack Software Developer

Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Full Stack Software Developer to support the Maneuver Air Directorate. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain modern C#/.NET web APIs and backend services.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, including data contracts, validation, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.

• Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.

• Design and implement data access solutions using PostgreSQL.

• Support cybersecurity and data protection requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Integrate front-end components with backend APIs and ensure reliable communication between application layers.

• Document processes, techniques, and best practices for application development and deployment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of API solutions into existing systems and workflows.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated experience building and supporting web applications.

• Strong professional experience developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful web APIs in the .NET ecosystem.

• Experience working with relational databases, including querying, designing, and optimizing databases.

• Experience with PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.

• Familiarity with software development best practices, including testing, debugging, code reviews, and application performance optimization.

• Experience with Git version control and a DevSecOps Platform such as GitLab.

• Experience working with Docker or other containerization technologies.

• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.

• Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of the C# language.

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks and languages such as React, Typescript, and Javascript.

• Experience with API documentation and tooling such as OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Familiarity with developing reusable NPM packages or component libraries.

• Experience integrating frontend solutions with backend APIs, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
