Position Summary

Responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining best-fit technical solutions to meet the business needs of the department, focused on integrating software, data, and collective experiences to provide better patient care, pave the path to new discoveries, and teach the future of medicine.

Job Responsibilities

Actively maintain and improve our current informatics eco system which provides critical support for several fast paced, rapid growing clinical labs; ensure smooth daily operation including weekends.Investigate, design and implement scalable and robust integration solutions that connects a wide range of applications and systems when setting up new assays.Conduct onboarding (installation, server set up, data ingress, parameters fine tune etc.) of external applications, working closely with various stakeholders (project based), IT departments, vendors and research communitiesDesign, implement, test and maintain applications, web interfaces, databases that facilitates business analytics, data analytics, lab workflow management and research inquiriesConduct monthly security patching and different levels of testing, and monitor other Dev-Op processes for software deploymentContribute to technical documentation including (but not limited to) application architecture and data diagram, installation, testing plans and troubleshooting

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in full-stack development.

  • Proficient with Linux/Unix and BASH.

  • Proficient with Javascript, HTML, PHP and SQL (preferably MySQL).

  • Proficient with computer / computer interface development.

  • Experience with cloud deployment to at least one cloud provider, preferably AWS.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).Willingness to tackle any challenge, even if not directly relevant to core competencies.

  • Ability to appreciate users' perspectives.

  • Ability to adjust to business change; common types of changes include new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and emerging technologies.
