Job Opportunity:
An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join its team.
This is a client-facing role suited to a qualified accountant with strong Irish practice experience. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients, providing accounting, tax, financial reporting and business advisory support.
The role offers excellent career progression, with potential to develop into a senior leadership, Director or Partnership position.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Prepare and review year-end accounts and financial statements.
Prepare and review Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT and other statutory returns.
Prepare and review management accounts.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and financial analysis.
Provide commercially focused accounting, tax and business advice.
Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate new business.
Liaise with Revenue and other professional advisers where required.
Review and support the work of junior team members.
Contribute to advisory, project and practice-development initiatives.
Maintain high standards of client service and compliance.
Must Haves:
ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualified.
5+ years' post-qualification experience, preferably in Irish practice.
Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
Experience managing SME and/or owner-managed clients.
Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
Strong commercial awareness and advisory capability.
Experience with accounts, tax, budgeting and forecasting.
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
Experience mentoring or reviewing junior staff.
Ambitious, proactive and interested in long-term career progression.
