Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Gas Estimation & Design Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for preparing gas system designs, estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare gas system designs, layouts, and detailed drawings based on project requirements.

  • Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and scope of work.

  • Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for gas systems.

  • Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions.

  • Calculate material requirements and equipment quantities.

  • Obtain and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations.

  • Coordinate with Projects, Procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  • Ensure designs and estimates comply with relevant UAE regulations, authority requirements, and applicable standards.

  • Identify discrepancies, technical requirements, exclusions, and variations in project documents.

  • Prepare technical submissions and support project teams when required.

  • Maintain proper records of drawings, estimates, BOQs, and tender documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in Gas Estimation & Design, preferably in the UAE.

  • Strong knowledge of LPG/NG gas systems, gas piping, equipment, and installation requirements.

  • Experience in gas system design, estimation, BOQ preparation, and quantity take-offs.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office/Excel.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Knowledge of UAE gas authority requirements and relevant standards is preferred.

  • Good communication, analytical, and coordination skills.

  • UAE experience is preferred.

  • Candidates available in the UAE and able to join immediately are preferred.
