Role purpose

The GCC Data Analyst turns sales, inventory, pricing, finance and marketplace data into clear reporting and practical recommendations for the Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances business. The role provides a consistent view of performance across six GCC markets, supports timely commercial decisions, and improves the quality and reliability of business data.

Regional performance reporting

  • Build and maintain daily, weekly and monthly dashboards for sales, gross margin, collections, targets and budget versus actual performance.

  • Analyse results by country, emirate, channel, customer, brand, category, product and salesperson; explain key movements and exceptions.

  • Prepare concise performance packs and commentary for management reviews and country business meetings.

Planning, forecasting and target setting

  • Coordinate GCC annual, quarterly and monthly target submissions with country and channel teams; consolidate them into a regional view.

  • Prepare sales forecasts using historical run rates, seasonality, confirmed orders, sell-out trends, stock availability, promotions and commercial plans.

  • Track forecast accuracy and highlight gaps, risks and upside opportunities with clear assumptions.

Inventory, PSI and supply planning

  • Monitor stock on hand, incoming shipments, committed stock, coverage, stock-outs, aging, slow-moving and fast-moving items by market and SKU.

  • Prepare purchase and replenishment analysis using sales history, forecast demand, lead times and target coverage; flag excess and shortage risks.

  • Support liquidation and clearance reviews with aging, margin, stock exposure and recommended action lists.

Pricing and commercial analysis

  • Maintain analysis of recommended retail prices, dealer and contract prices, promotions, discounts, rebates and pricing support by market.

  • Build and review product value chains and margin scenarios using approved cost, freight, duty, insurance and local charge inputs.

  • Compare market prices and competitor offers from approved research sources; identify price gaps and changes requiring review.

Retail and e-commerce analysis

  • Consolidate retailer sell-out, point-of-sale, online and marketplace data where available, and distinguish sell-in from consumer sell-out.

  • Track online listings, availability, pricing, Buy Box or seller position, ranking and sales indicators for priority products.

  • Evaluate promotions, campaigns and channel initiatives against sales, margin, stock and agreed success measures.

Data quality, systems and stakeholder support

  • Maintain reliable product, brand, category, customer, channel, country and salesperson mappings across reporting files and systems.

  • Reconcile dashboard outputs to ERP, finance and source reports; document metric definitions, refresh timing and data limitations.

  • Work with Sales, Finance, Buying, Supply Chain, E-commerce, Customer Care and country teams to resolve data gaps and answer business questions.

  • Automate recurring reports and reduce manual consolidation while maintaining transparent calculations and access controls.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or a related field.

  • At least 4–6 years of experience in commercial or sales analysis, business intelligence, demand planning or finance analysis; GCC experience is preferred.

  • Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, retail, distribution or FMCG is strongly preferred.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query and data modelling; strong Power BI dashboard and DAX skills; working knowledge of SQL. Experience extracting and reconciling ERP data. Familiarity with SAP, Oracle or comparable ERP platforms and marketplace reporting is an advantage.
